Quase um ano decorreu  sobre o incompreensível e cruel início da invasão à Ucrânia pela Rússia de Putin . Um país de grande extensão , diverso e de irrefutável  beleza está a ser violentamente destruído pelas mandíbulas impiedosas das armas russas.  

Para que a memória dos homens não adormeça, é preciso rever  como era a Ucrânia antes deste bárbaro acontecimento. Um país belíssimo, "com Património Mundial da UNESCO, catedrais gloriosas, igrejas ortodoxas, exuberantes colinas arborizadas", de soberba cultura e  de grande riqueza natural. Composta por "cidades vibrantes, castelos antigos, paisagens deslumbrantes" e  uma valiosa diversidade de paisagens, a Ucrânia recebia quem a visitava, com gentileza  e simpatia,  convertendo-a num  destino especial, independentemente dos seus problemas.
