Being good friends with animals

Why not have as a partner a cockroach?
I may well discuss Plato with a mouse.
All the many animals I approach
are dear to me: dog, cat, sparrow, grouse!
 
Each one of them has a peculiar beauty:
the nightingale sings, the cockroach shines,
the cow is patient and the mouse is cutie.
They live everywhere: plains, mountains and mines.
 
Animal is very good company,
even a tiger may become your brother
and a lioness something like your mother.
 
With animals you are in the money:
they are of enormous emotional value
and they are probably nicer than you!
